Scott Van Doormaal, Swimming

Scott, a second-year Science student from Guelph, Ontario, was the Gryphons top performer at the CIS Swimming Championshiops this past weekend at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. Scott captured the silver medal in the 200 meter Butterfly and led the Gryphons to a ninth place finish overall. Scott also finished fourth in the 200 backstroke and sixth in the 100 backstroke event. For his efforts he was named a second-team All-Canadian.

Aleisha Lusk, Women's Hockey

Aleisha, a fifth-year bio-medical student from Mitchell, Ontario held the #2 Laurier Golden Hawks to one goal in a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon. Aleisha had an impressive 34 saves on the night and helped her team preserve their playoff position. The Gryphons finished the season with an 8-11-4-1 record and travel to London this weekend, Saturday March 3 to face the Western Mustangs in an OUA quarter-final game.
