Queer Identities Week is happening at the University of Guelph from October 24th to 29th, 2011!

Queer Identities Week is an annual event held on campus in celebration of the diversity of sexual orientation and gender identities that exist throughout the world.

Through educational and social events, Queer Identities Week seeks to engage the campus and surrounding Guelph/Wellington community in conversations about queer identities and raise awareness of the continued challenges sexual and gender diverse people face.

There are lots of awesome events planned including workshops, a film screening and a “Mass-Queer-Ade” dance party. This dance is a Queer-Positive alternative to the Halloween bar scene. All events are open to people of all identities, including allies both on and off campus.

Queer Identities Week is a collaborative project by the Student Help and Advocacy Centre, Guelph Queer Equality, Guelph Resource Centre for Gender Empowerment and Diversity, OUTline and The Wellness Centre/SpeakOUT.
