As is tradition here at the University of Guelph, the Sno Week One Act play festival is back, presented by the Drama Student's Federation.

This festival contains three pieces written, directed and completely run, by students. After working hard in the past few weeks in rehearsals, the One Acts are finally on and eager for an audience.

There's a little bit of everything for everyone in these shows:

"Veiled" which presents the dynamics between a mother and daughter as a misunderstanding at work causes tension at home.

"The Red Ground" shows us the complicated relationship between childhood friends as they leave for war.

"Spilled Coffee and Broken Walls" calls itself: "A social commentary play in one act," and makes us question the validity of a "private" conversation in public, while giving us a good laugh.

The shows are running in the festival this week only, Thursday January 13 to Saturday January 15th. Performances are in the George Luscombe Theatre, main floor of Mackinnon. Tickets are $5 at the door. Doors open at 7:30 pm, and the show goes up at 8:00pm. See you there!
