Guelph secures 4th spot in OUA Women's hockey

With 4th spot in the OUA playoffs on the line, the Guelph Gryphons came from behind to tie the York Lions 3-3. Scoring Guelph’s goals were Carrie Tokarcyzk (St. Thomas, ON), Nicole Latreille, (Nepean, ON) and Elaine Dumas (Waterloo, ON). Stopping 24 York shots for the tie was Aleisha Lusk (Mitchell, ON). Guelph will now face the Brock Badgers in the quarter-finals, with a berth in the OUA Championships up for grabs.

The final standings in the OUA are:

1. Wilfrid Laurier

2. Queens

3. Toronto

4. Guelph

5. Brock

6. Windsor

7. York

8. Western

9. Waterloo

On Saturday February 25th, 2006, in the quarter-finals Brock will travel to Guelph. Game time is to be announced, but the game will be held at the Gryphon Centre. Windsor will travel to Toronto. The winners of those games will face Wilfrid Laurier, and Queens respectively in the OUA Semi-Finals.
