Jaclyn Butterworth, a first year Human Kinetics student from Winnipeg,
Manitoba, backstopped the Field Hockey Gryphons to 3 wins and a tie at the
Toronto Invitational this past weekend. The netminder allowed conceded only
1 goal in the 4 contests and earned 3 shutouts against Western, Queen's and
Chike Agbasi, a 5th year Political Science student from Burnaby, British
Columbia, scored the insurance marker in the Soccer Gryphons 4-1 victory
over Waterloo. This 2005 OUA first team all-star and Gryphon MVP led his
team from the front. Chike held the ball up well and brought his fellow
forwards and midfield into the play. His speed was a constant threat and the
Warriors had a difficult time holding him at bay.
Baseball - Gryphons Take 2 of 3 on Weekend - September 10, 2006
The Gryphon Baseball team swept their double header against the Waterloo
Warriors 4-3 and 7-4 before dropping their home opener 3-1 Sunday versus

Football - Gryphons Can't Handle Golden Gaels Attack - September 9, 2006
With a 31-10 loss to Queen's, the Gryphons are yet to hit the win column after two weeks of league play. Guelph now has a 0-2 record in the young 2006 season while Queen's is 2-0 after beating Toronto last week. For complete recap, click here
Men's Rugby - Gryphs Lose Home Opener to Laurier - September 9, 2006
Today in front of 200 onlookers, the Guelph Gryphons opened the season at home against the visiting Laurier Golden Hawks. Within the first minute Laurier was deep in Guelph's end pressuring for a score. Fantastic forward defence kept the Hawks at bay but that was not enough. For complete recap, click here
