So, I'm not sure if anyone is having this problem... well that statement goes out to the uwgo users on campus. But, MINE ISN'T WORKING!! It's definetly not connecting and it's been stagnate since I moved in (3 weeks ago).

Does anyone have an answer? Has Guelph gone "poo-poo" on all uwgo users? Will I ever be able to download episodes of greys I missed?? Or will I have to usebit torrents and wait a WEEK for them to download?!

I hope someone can help... or at least give me some comfort in letting me know I'm not the only one who's in heartache.

I've given up on all that, although I still use LimeWire for music downloads.

For TV shows and movies, on the other hand, two great sites are www.tv-links.co.uk and www.alluc.org. I don't think you get to download and keep them, but you can certainly watch them any time you'd like :)

I used DC++ along with UWGO to download in first year, they didn't throttle it at all. You're not going to be getting the LAN speeds you are with UWGO, but if you get on a hub with good peers you can get 500k/s downloads pretty easily.

There is no UoG hub, you'll have to find internet ones. You'll still get insane speeds though, even on weekends. Just don't leave it on overnight when quote is in effect unless you have a roommate and a router.
