Ready for Political Action? Know Your Rights!

  • Date

    Thursday, January 27, 2011

  • What

Before you put on your activist hat and hit the pavement or put pen to paper learn about what rights you have to protest in Canada.  What are you allowed to say and write?  Where can you put up posters and hand out flyers?  How do you make a proper petition?  How can you have a say in meetings of decision-makers?  What sorts of things can make a demonstration illegal?  Find out how to prepare for situations where your rights may be challenged, what to do about it when they are, and how to support fellow activists.

This workshop is facilitated by OPIRG and is included in the LEAD@Guelph Series, and limited to 15 participants.  Sign up on REG.
