What
1 in 5 people in Canada are affected by a mental health challenge in any given year; it could be a friend, family member, teammate, colleague, or maybe even yourself. This event focuses on reducing stigma associated with mental health and emphasizes how important it is to reach out for support.
T-shirts will be distributed in various locations on the University of Guelph campus leading up to the day of the event. These t-shirts are being worn to demonstrate support and make something that can be invisible, more visible.
The day will consist of several informative and interactive events. Then, at 5:30pm there will be a speaking panel in Rozanski Hall room 103 consisting of students who have experienced a mental health challenge, a psychiatrist, and special guest Eric Windeler from The Jack Project.
Please join us on March 8th to help send the message that nobody is alone in their endeavour with a mental health challenge and that everyone should reach out and talk to someone.
