    What: Vocal Improvisation Workshop

Where: All Together Now, 238 Kathleen St.

When: Saturday, October 24, 1:00-4:00 pm

Why: Does the idea of improvisation intimidate you? It's not as scary as it seems, honest! If you can count to 2, 3 or 4, and hum "Three Blind Mice," you're well on your way to improvisational genius!!!

Be prepared to release your inhibitions and unleash your inner dynamo, as we explore some of the key elements of improvisation: rhythm, ornamentation, dynamics, phrase structure, and some more complex forms of melodic and harmonic variance.

Some very simple knowledge of theory (i.e., can you sing "Do, a Deer", or a basic scale?) is required—anything beyond that, we will cover in the workshop. An open mind, spirit of adventure and playful attitude is mandatory. Instructor: Alyssa Wright.

How much: $45. Register online to avoid disappointment.
