OUTline Support Volunteer Training
OUTline at the University of Guelph.
January 26 - 27
OUTline is the University of Guelph's resource and support service specializing in questions relating to sexual orientation and gender identity.
The 6-hour Support Volunteer Training Program will introduce you to OUTline as an organization, go over some important information and review local resources and referrals.
Once completed, you will be able to help with the supporting operations of OUTline which can include: helping with workshops, updating resources and referrals, coming up with promotional ideas or completing a project of your own design!
This is an incredibly flexible volunteer opportunity with no set minimum volunteer hours. Many of the projects can even be completed from home!
This training can also be used towards the Phone Volunteer Training Program if you are interested in making the switch in the future. The next Phone Volunteer Training session will be in the late spring/early summer of 2010.
If you are interested, please download and submit an application from our website (link below) by January 22nd, 2010.
We welcome applicants from all sexual orientations and gender identities. We also welcome applications from students, staff and faculty at the University of Guelph as well as Guelph community members.
The Training program will take place in an undisclosed location on the University of Guelph campus.
January 26 & 27, 2010 from 6-9pm
Support Volunteers are the connection between OUTline and the community. They provide valuable support to the operations of its services.
Training is free.
