FAITH WEEK 2010
Sunday :
Places of Worship Tour
To kick of this year's Faith Week at the University of Guelph we are going on an adventure!
On Sunday January 31st join the Multi Faith Resource Team for an exploration of faith and the places in which faith communities gather. Have you ever wondered what its like to be inside a Hindu temple, a Mosque, a Unitarian Church? Curious about what kind of rituals they perform, services they offer and what Hinduism, Unitarianism, and Islam are all about? We will join the Guelph Unitarian Congregation for their 1030am service followed by a simple lunch. After that we will be heading to Toronto to tour the magnificent Hindu Temple (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BAPS_Shri_Swaminarayan_Mandir_Toronto). Finally we will finish our tour off at a local mosque or a mosque in Toronto.
Bring your burning questions!
The tour will finish at approximately 5 pm and is FREE but please reserve your spot asap.
