What
This session will cover strategies for growing your own food during the summer. Topics will include starting seedlings indoors, preparing the soil, help with seed selection and garden planning.
Emphasis will be given to the efficient use of small, urban spaces. We will learn how to get the most food out of the least space by selecting appropriate crops and by using creative planting methods.
We will also cover methods of planting that make season extention easier (for example, planting in cold frames).
