What
Mayor Karen Farbridge and Liberal MP Frank Valieriote will open the Festival with brief words of welcome, and Transition Town founder Rob Hopkins will offer a pre-recorded greeting and welcome.

Wayne Roberts, past manager of the Toronto Food Policy Council and author of The No-Nonsense Guide to World Food will talk about building healthy, resilient communties, with a particular focus on the role of of food security. A short Q and A with the speakers will follow.
Following the keynote addresses, local poets will share their spoken-word creations. -
