Breaking borders film night
Fuerza/Puwersa promotes and brings about critical discourse on the subject of the Seasonal Agricultural Worker's Program and the Live-in Caregiver Program, as well as on the broader issue of temporary worker programs.

Film screening of Matices (Perpectives): "Temporary" Migration in Canada as part of Fuerza/Puwersa's monthly Breaking Borders Film series.
Matices (Perspectives) provides an insider's view of the human costs of agricultural labour migration. In Canada, thousands of agricultural migrant workers do the work that citizens don't want to do, and the agricultural industry is increasingly dependent on temporary migration programs to provide a flexible labour source in a competitive global economy. Come snack and discuss/learn more about this issue with us.
Fuerza/Puwersa (meaning 'strength' in Spanish and Tagalog) is an all-volunteer grassroots group of student and community members in Guelph dedicated to exposing the injustices faced by migrant workers, "no status" people, and racialized working-class immigrants. Come snack and discuss/learn more about this issue with us.
