As part of SOC4840' Farm Worker Awareness Week, please come out and join us for the CANADIAN PREMIERE of Eva Longoria's "The Harvest".
ABOUT THE FILM:
The Harvest tells the story of a number of children who work 12-14 hour days, 7 days a week picking the food that we eat. Every year more than 400,000 migrant child farmworkers in the US journey from their homes traveling from the scorching sun of the Texas onion fields, to the winter snows of the Michigan apple orchards and back to the heat of the Florida tomato farms, this movie tells their story.
FEATURING SPECIAL GUEST: Pablo Godoy, a representative from the Agricultural Workers Alliance will be attending as a guest speaker for the event.
