As part of SOC4840's Migrant Worker Awareness Week, we will be having a SPECIAL 10TH ANNIVERSARY screening of documentary "El Contrato" with guest speaker director Min Sook Lee.
ABOUT THE FILM:
The documentary follows Teodoro Bello Martinez, a poverty-stricken father of four living in Central Mexico, and several of his countrymen as they make an annual migration to southern Ontario to pick tomatoes for conditions and wages no local will accept.
FEATURING SPECIAL GUESTS: DIRECTOR MIN SOOK LEE and EVELYN ENCALADA (JUSTICIA 4 MIGRANT WORKERS CO-FOUNDER) who will be PRESENT to share about their experiences.
