What: The Downtown Guelph Business Association presents its 2009 Noon Hour Concert Series featuring Dusty Bodhan
Where: St. George's Square, Guelph
When: Friday, August 14 @ 12pm
Why: A member of Jeff Healey’s band in the mid 80’s, Dusty Bohan's solo fingerstyle guitar playing has been featured on Brad Barkers “Dinner Jazz” and Jaymz Bee’s “Jazz in the City” radio programs on Jazz.FM 91.
Dusty Bohdan studied guitar at Humber College and has performed at such venues as the Mariposa Folk Festival, The Toronto Beaches International Jazz Festivals’ opening Ovation to Jazz Gala, Canadian Stage Company’s Dora Mavor Moore Awards Gala and the Canadian Finger Style Guitar Championship.
In 2001 Dusty released his first CD called “Indigo” under the project name of Ethereal Inventions, an instrumental collection of guitar pieces Bohdan himself explains as “an eclectic mix, a blend and mix of visual and musical.” Partial proceeds from sales of the CD got to World Vision Canada.
Along with his Ethereal Inventions partner, visual artist M.L. Hale, they have just finished filming their first performance piece “Mystic Eye”.
How much: Free!
