  • What

Green Party of Guelph founder Bill Hulet and City Councillor Maggie Laidlaw present: “The Awful Truth: Why being a government is going to be really hard from now on and what we can do about it”.

Bill will be pointing out several very serious emerging trends that will explain the reluctance of all levels of government to deal with climate change.  Maggie Laidlaw will flesh out how these general trends will specifically impact on Guelph through the provincial “Places to Grow” legislation.

Bill Hulet is long time activist, and has been  Green Party of Candidate several times.  He is a insightful commentator on local, provincial and national politics.

Maggie Laidlaw has been a City Councillor since 2000. She is an outspoken advocate for sustainable communities. She has won numerous community awards and is involved in many local organizations.

Come out, have a beer, eat a fine dinner—and discuss with the Guelph Greens, what we plan to do!
