2014 RBC Noon Hour Concert Series
June 6 - July 25
The 2014 RBC Noon Hour Concert Series is a free annual outdoor music event will start on Friday June 6th and continues every Friday until July 25th.
Starting with local sensations and first time Nooners, The Boo Radley Project, downtown Guelph will host eight spirited performances in St George’s Square, aiming to enliven your lunch hour with toe tapping and hip wiggling. Organizers have gone through the archives and chosen some of best and most popular acts from recent years. Although new to the Noon Hour Concert Series, harpist Ruth Sutherland got people moving and grooving to her upbeat style at the 2013 Art on the Street event. She’s been invited back to work her Celtic charm on the Nooner crowd on July 4th. With pussy cat blues from Alfie Smith, enchanting folk from Ian Reid, and rhythmic harmonies form Graydon James, St George’s Square has all your summer highlights.
Offering shade, bright sun loungers, free sunscreen, colourful parasols, hula hoops and freezies, the DGBA & RBC welcomes you all to enjoy remarkable music in the sunshine. RBC’s Downtown Guelph Branch Manager, Matthew Chate says “supporting this event is easy for us. It’s a great fit not only because we are right on St George’s Square and have enjoyed this event for so many years, but because RBC supports the enhancement of vibrant communities. It doesn’t get more vibrant than downtown Guelph in the summer !”.
