Townhall Discussion: Organic Agriculture Major

  • Date

    Wednesday, November 18, 2009

  • What

This will offer an opportunity for students, faculty, and the public to engage in conversation about the future of the BSc.Agr in Organic major. There are many questions to ask and I am hopeful that we will leave with a better understanding of what needs to be done next in order to keep this major in existence. For those who are unaware, there were three stipulations set out during Senate last April: increase enrollment, gain (industry) funding, and find qualified people to replace Ann Clark after her retirement in 2011. In April, this will once again go to Senate, and our hope is that solutions will be found in order to keep the organic agriculture major in Guelph.
