Student Budget Caucus will be hosting its annual townhall to discuss the Integrated Plan and the Budget. This will be a very special edition of the event however, because next year marks the start of a brand new 5 year Integrated planning process. This means that there is essentially a blank canvas for setting unit priori...ties and resource distributions.
The first half of the townhall will go over the Integrated planning process and the current plan, along with the current budget.
The second half will be an opportunity for the administration to tell students how they would like to see us involved over the next 5 years, and will also allow students to express to the administration how we would like to be involved over the next 5 years.
So far the attending administration are:
Alastair Summerlee, President
Maureen Mancuso, Provost and VP Academic,
Brenda Whiteside, AVP Student Affairs,
and John Miles, AVP Finance
If you are a student involved with a PSO this would be a really important event to attend. When you transition your incoming exec they should know early on what opportunities they will have to be invovled with the process.
If you are a student who is not directly involved but wants to understand the University's budget process or wants to have your comments heard this is a great opportunity to do so.
