LOCATION !!!! … Near Gordon and College, At the “RED ROOF HOUSE” 16 Borden Street … A Well furnished 10 x 12 foot room available from Sept.1st. 2026 12 month minimum lease, no parking, (other than bicycles in locked garage) ~5 minute walk to HospitalityTourism/Lang Business School ~ `7 min walk to Creelman Hall, U of G’s legendary dining hall! You cannot bring in your own furnishings, just your bed linens and smaller accessories, favourite lamp if you wish … that sort of thing. Most residents are international graduate or PhD students, but we do have a couple of 2nd and 3rd year undergrads. But overseas arrivals have 3 giant suitcases and no furniture! So that is our rental niche.
The room is part of a 3 bedroom lower unit, ~ so close to northwest corner of campus, ~ 12 min walk to campus centre (UC). This room has shared fridge, and access to gas cooktop, microwave, etc. and shares a 4 piece washroom with 2 other (male) occupants. Bicycle secure space in garage included, no off street private parking available … parallel to street allows 2 hour max.
The house has a 5 person upper unit, both genders, (currently 2 PhD ladies, and 2 Master’s and one 3rd year guy … is fully occupied, mostly all U of G connected or graduated … a quiet academic house … and you also have access if desired to the large main floor living room, No pets no smoking, headphones for music please, … utilities and Bell internet included in your rent A new regular lease starting in September can be discussed as of July 1st, or sooner if desired. - Contact
